On Planets – Brief Pause

As some of you may know, we’ve been away for a while. I guess you could say we’ve been on a ‘Brief Pause’, at least while we work in bringing you a newly redesigned site along with a heap of other upcoming features. So, kicking off our first post of the year even is someone we’ve highly regarded for a long time. Early last year while gliding through the vast cosmic depths of hidden talent, we had the pleasure of discovering a very talented Vancouver based producer called Sean Wharton who produces under the name On Planets & we’ve not looked back since. He’s since been gaining traction on the blogosphere and rocking the hypem charts for remixes of Gallant, Drake and an official one for Pegboard Nerds.

Today, he announces his highly anticipated solo release ‘Brief Pause’ which quite honestly has us incredibly close to tears. Not only is this a stellar & powerful, emotive chilled out first release, but we’re just so very proud of his journey. Without a doubt, he’s going to be a big name on everyone’s radar & we’re happy to have been supporting from an early stage.

He adds:

“It is about a feeling that has no words, but is perhaps the most human of all feelings: when self reflection provokes the turbulent mixture of cold longing and bitter regret with the warmth of loving memories.”

The track is the first release from new LA based label Manifold. Stream & get your free download below:
