Drew has been hot on my radar since her track “Runner” was first released. It was unlike anything I had ever heard and I wanted more. From that debut alone, it was clear to see she had a bright future ahead.
Months went by as I anticipated new music, but those months turned into years. I started to come to terms with the fact that many great artists decide not to pursue music any longer, work on other projects, or life gets in the way. It happens and we learn to treasure their creations more than ever. Which was certainly the case with DREW. After a bit of research, I learned Drew featured on DUNE’s track “Say Anything” and on top of that was in fact 1/2 of DREWXHILL. After listening, it was everything I thought it would be.
Now, after much anticipation, Drew has announced her return with the release of “Keeping Up” via Warner Music Denmark proving she’s here to stay. Describing herself as a “lovechild between Banks and Taylor Swift with a pinch of Joan Baez”, the track features her distinct roaring vocals, reminiscent to both Birdy and MØ. This is an anthem which will surely be synced across TV soon enough. I don’t ever want to stop keeping up with Drew.
